A young farm worker was critically injured following a motorbike accident yesterday.
The 16-year-old boy suffered serious head injuries when he fell from a motorbike on Tuesday evening.
The boy was transported by road to the Dannevirke Medical Centre, where he was stabilised.
The Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter then took him to Palmerston North Hospital about 6pm.
Palmerston North Hospital communications officer Bayleigh Hayston said the teen was in a stable condition this morning.
She said further details of the accident were not known.
