Palmerston North Fire Service officers were called upon to do some lateral thinking when an unlucky pair on Union St realised they had become locked out of their toilet about 8.15 last night.
Acting Senior Station Officer Royce Tatham said it was unclear how the door became locked, but to the relief of the occupants, officers managed to unlock the door from the outside, using a rake through the window.
