Don't hold your breath - but settled weather has been forecasted for most of the country over the next few days.
MetService spokesman Ramon Oosterkamp said while it might not be perfectly fine all the time, any showers are likely to be in the afternoon and evening over inland areas, with coastal cloud in the mornings. "For most people, the days should be pleasant, with daytime highs in the 20s".
As the broad ridge of high pressure moves northwards, it should reduce the impact of a weakening front to afternoon and evening showers on Tuesday and Wednesday, he said.
