Anna Guy looks set to leap from her intern's role at a Manawatu radio station to TV3's flagship current affairs show.
It is understood Guy will give "three short reports" on TV3's new political and current affairs show 3rd Degree, although what she will be covering is unknown.
The sister of slain Feilding farmer Scott Guy and the estranged wife of Ewen Macdonald, the man found not guilty of the 2010 killing, first featured on More FM Manawatu's Mike West In The Morning breakfast show last month.
Guy carried out a week of interning, where on-air she was referred to as ''intern Anna'' .
She covered lighter fare from weather reports, entertainment news and talking about the ''weekend wars'' of listeners.
The show 3rd Degree will be co-hosted by Duncan Garner and Guyon Espiner and is set to air in the new year, replacing 60 minutes which wrapped up on December 2.
TV3 spokeswoman Rachel Lorimer said Guy was not joining the team permanently "but we won't rule out doing stories with her in the future".
Lorimer would not comment any further, saying "we treat all the content for 3rd Degree as confidential this far out from broadcast".
