Staff at Pedal Pushers arrived to work at 8am to find knee high flames in the corner of the shop.
It is not yet known what caused the fire at the Ferguson St business this morning.
A fire officer at the scene said staff were able to get the fire under control before they arrived.
The shop was full of smoke and they would be ventilating it and attempting to work out what caused it, he said.
Two fire engines attended.
