A man injured in a serious crash on State Highway 56 on the Opiki Bridge was in a stable condition in Palmerston North Hospital this morning.
The man, believed to be in his 60s, was taken to hospital by the Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash, which closed a section of SH56 about 3.20pm on Wednesday.
The man is understood to have been driving a rental car, and is not from Palmerston North.
