Three-year-old Patrick Oram quite fittingly climbs on stage in the latest of the summer concert series at the Victoria Esplanade, Palmerston North. Yesterday’s concert had a theme of the future of Manawatu music.

The outdoor show featured performances from the Manawatu Musician Makers and UCOL contemporary music students. Fresh from a swim in the Esplanade pool, Patrick decided to check out the view from the stage as seen by his uncle James Tait-Jamieson, playing saxophone with band Smokey Feel.
