13-year-old schoolgirl hit by car
A St Peter's College student was seriously injured after being hit by a car on the way to school this morning.
The 13-year-old girl was crossing Rangitikei St, near the railway overbridge, when she was hit by a Toyota Hiace about 8:30, Palmerston North police Acting Senior Sergeant Phil Ward said.
She suffered injuries to her leg and torso and was taken to Palmerston North Hospital.
