As the $12.2 million Papatawa realignment roading project near Woodville wraps up, a 1.5-kilometre stretch of unnamed new highway has been formed.

Tararua District Council received 17 submissions from five parties on the naming of the new road and a nearby short link road and have confirmed Martin Rd and Conduit Rd will be extended and the new link road will be called Elliott Rd.
