Higgins boss a key speaker
The man in charge of one of the biggest businesses in Manawatu is set to impart his knowledge to other professionals.
Higgins Group chief executive David Geor will be speaking at the next Three Keys event tomorrow evening.
Three Keys brings successful New Zealanders to the city to speak to young professionals.
Geor, who was born in Rotorua, has been at the head of the roading company since last year.
It was the first time Higgins had appointed a chief executive from outside of the Higgins family, which founded the business half a century ago.
Before moving to Higgins, Geor had been chief executive of various companies.
They included roading business Excell Corporation - owned by rich-lister Eric Watson - and apple exporter Enza.
He has also held senior management positions with Fletcher Fishing and Affco.
The Three Keys event runs from 3pm until 5pm at Aberdeen in Broadway Ave.
