Building fire in Milson
'We could see the flames rising from the station'KELSEY FLETCHER
A derelict building in Milson has been badly damaged by a second suspicious fire.
Two fire engines were sent to the building, on McGregor St and Milson Line, just after 6pm last night.
Milson Fire Station officer in charge Chris Faithfull said the two-storey building was just around the corner from the station.
"We could see the flames rising from the station," he said. "When we got there, the upper story was well involved.
"It took about half and hour to an hour to put out. It was quite a sizable fire."
Mr Faithfull said the Fire Service had been sent to the same building for a fire in the past, and police were involved.
"We are going to look this morning with fire investigators but it appears to be suspicious, there was no power to the building," he said. "There is evidence of people being in there."
