For the first time since it was founded Feilding Promotion is looking is for a manager.
Helen Worboys, one of the town's strongest advocates, has resigned from the position she has held since Feilding Promotion was founded 20 years ago.
"Helen has managed the organisation since inception 20 years ago, and has been the driving force behind the renewal and revitalisation of Feilding and district," Feilding Promotion chairman Michael Ford said.
"We are very sorry to lose Helen's outstanding services, however we have to be extremely grateful to Helen for her service to Feilding Promotion, and indeed the entire community for so long.
''We wish Helen every success and happiness wherever she decides to go. We understand that she is looking to enjoy a break in the short term, and assess work opportunities after that. We may be able to contract Helen for certain specific projects.''
The Feilding Promotion strategic team will be re-assessing staffing requirements next week.
