Quake in Hunterville
An earthquake shook the ground near Hunterville today.
The magnitude 4.1 quake, centred 10 kilometres south of the town, hit at 5.11am.
It had a depth of 10km and was of moderate intensity, GeoNet reported.
Nearly 350 people from areas as widespread as Raumati South, Raetihi, Dannevirke and Kai Iwi, near Whanganui, reported feeling the quake to Geonet.
More than 50 reports from Marton, Feilding and Ashhurst described it as moderate.
