The fate of the Shannon fellmongery and its 86 employees is still in limbo, with a deal yet to be struck for the sale of the factory.
Silver Fern Farms has been in negotiations to sell the fellmongery to Lowe Corporation, and expected to confirm the sale on September 30.
But negotiations are still taking place, leaving the factory's 86 employees with question marks around their jobs.
As part of the deal, Silver Fern would toll-process its pelts through Lowe's North Island facilities.
Silver Fern chief operating officer Kevin Winders has previously said it was "highly likely" the plant would shut if bought by Lowe, costing Horowhenua 86 jobs.
No new prospective announcement date has been given.
