Three youth arrested for Rangiora Mini Mart robbery

Three people have been arrested for the robbery of a Palmerston North dairy.

A staff member was assaulted when a group of masked robbers entered the Rangiora Mini Mart, on Rangiora Ave, demanding cigarettes and cash on May 1, police have said.

On Friday, acting Area Commander Inspector Dave White said two men, aged 19 and 17, had been charged with aggravated robbery, and would appear at the Palmerston North District Court.

Another person was to appear in the youth court in Saturday and two others were still being sought.

"Police are currently providing support for the victim, as well as visiting local dairies to provide crime prevention advice," White said.
