Biker in serious condition after crash
LATEST: A motorcycle rider has serious injuries after falling through a fence and 20 metres down a bank when he lost control on loose gravel.
The 52-year-old Palmerston North man was riding with two others who witnessed the crash on Mangatipona Road in the Turakina Valley north of Marton at about midday yesterday.
The man was in a serious but stable condition in intensive care this morning.
They described the man's motorbike's front wheel skidding out causing the bike to leave the road, crash through a fence and down a 20-metre bank.
