An exhibition dedicated to former Formula 1 driver Chris Amon was opened in Bulls by the man of the hour himself.
Amon, who was born in Bulls, spent several hours chatting to fans and signing books at the opening of the exhibition in the Bulls Museum on Saturday.
He was "blown away" when he heard the museum was planning to honour his racing career. "I think it's amazing - if you overlook the obvious thing about being in a museum making you feel old. There's so much effort they've put in. Bulls and Scotts Ferry, they have been very special places for me and always will be. This is just marvellous."
Museum secretary Helen Cooper said the opening day of the exhibition was a great success, with a steady stream of visitors. The exhibition runs until March 2014.
