A man with back injuries after a tree fell on him remains in Palmerston North Hospital this morning.
Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter pilot Lance Burns said they were called to transport the man from a Mangaone Valley Rd property, northeast of Eketahuna, yesterday afternoon.
A St John ambulance was already on the scene.
The man suffered moderate back injuries and was airlifted to hospital in a stable condition.
Mr Burns said the man was not part of a forestry operation.
