Wheelchairs, hoists and pressure mattresses were all on display at the 14th Show Your Ability equipment expo, which made its annual stop through Palmerston North.

About 300 members of the public and professionals from the disability sector checked out the displays and discussed queries at Arena Manawatu yesterday.

Event organiser David Guest said it was the biggest year for the roadshow, and certainly the biggest for Palmerston North.

"We had an even mix of working professionals and members of the public," he said.

"There were occupational therapists from the hospital and from ACC, and we had lots of user groups who use the equipment too, which was great to see."
