Police have arrested a 29-year-old Feilding man in Palmerston North yesterday following a police pursuit of a stolen car on Wednesday morning.
Police chased the man in a short pursuit outside of the Feilding township, but called it off when the speeds became too high.
The man also stole two additional vehicles and a motorbike and has been charged with a number of driving offences.
He will also face two charges of unlawful taking of motor vehicles.
All of the stolen vehicles which were taken from the Feilding and Halcombe areas have been recovered.
Wednesday's pursuit lasted about five minutes before it was called off due to the dangerous speeds.
The car was found a short time later, deserted at an unrelated Mangaone Rd property and it is understood that the driver went to another property and stole a ute then swapped it for another ute, before stealing a motorbike from another property.
The man is to appear in Palmerston North Court today, and police will be opposing bail.
