Police hunt library thief

Feilding Police are on the look-out for an offender who broke into the toilet window of the Feilding Library and stole money from staff members' wallets held in their lockers.

The break in occurred on Tuesday between 12.15pm and 1pm. 

Feilding Librarian Simon Johnston, said the top of a cistern had been knocked off from where the offender entered the toilet window, and a couple of staff members had money stolen.

Stays have now been secured to all library windows.

People who saw anyone acting suspiciously around the back of the library building around this time have been asked to contact Feilding Police on  323 6363.
