One man has been killed and there are unconfirmed reports of injuries to others after a car and truck collided outside of Sanson, north of Palmerston North, this afternoon.
Police Inspector Chris Tate said the crash happened about 4.15pm between Foxton and Sanson.
He said a car and a truck had collided about 900 metres down from a major intersection in Sanson.
A man has been confirmed dead and there were unconfirmed reports of other people injured, he said.
