Hunt on for fraudster

Police are hunting for a man described as a ''prolific fraudster'' who has been at work in Manawatu.

Edwin Henry Taylor, 49, is wanted in relation to suspected fraud offending in Feilding and wider Manawatu.

Police say he is extremely good at convincing his victims that he is caring and honest, then takes advantage of them.

He has some skill at tattooing and has used the offer of a free tattoo to gain the trust of his victims.

Taylor is described as European, 192cm tall, solid build with long dark hair, usually tied in a pony tail.

He is transient and is known to travel long distances, so police were appealing for sightings of him from across the country.

Anyone who sees Taylor is warned not to approach him.Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact their local police station. Information can also be provided via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
