Massey University has been ranked as the New Zealand education sector's most attractive employer brand for the second time.
Employer branding and recruitment agency Randstad used research company ICMA International to conduct a survey of 160,000 respondents in 14 countries, including 7000 New Zealanders.
Kiwis were asked to rate employers by 17 factors including organisations' financial health, management and leadership, job security, career progression opportunities, learning and development opportunities, work-life balance and salaries and benefits.
Assistant vice-chancellor of people and organisational development, Alan Davis, said the award showed the widespread recognition Massey had.
"Our own survey of staff last year showed Massey has much to be proud of as an employer, but it also showed us there are many areas in which we need to do better," he said. "Public perception reflects the fact that our staff and stakeholders hold us in high regard and speak positively about us. That doesn't mean we cannot find ways to improve in all of the areas we were rated in for this survey."
