Crash delays traffic into Palmerston North

Palmerston North-bound traffic was delayed for nearly an hour after a two-car crash near Ohakea this morning.

Emergency services were called to the corner of State Highway 1 and Pukenui Rd, near the turn off to Ohakea, at 6.20am.

Police central communications acting shift commander Mark Oliver said traffic on SH1 was slowed for about an hour with one lane closed while emergency services cleared the scene.

The road was reopened by 7.30am. There were no injuries.
