Volunteers will be out in force around Palmerston North today collecting for the annual Poppy Day appeal.

People will be holding buckets around town in the annual fundraiser for the Returned and Services Association.

About 30,000 poppies are normally sold, with last year's efforts raising $27,000 for the RSA trust, which is separate from the club and takes care of ex-service and returned service people.

Today's collection started at 7am.

Will Aaron Cruden's omission hurt or help the All Blacks?

Hurt - he needs as much game time as possible.

Help - finally Beauden Barrett will get a proper run.

Hmmm - no biggie, just a temporary hitch.

Who is Cruden? I support the All Whites.
