The Feilding High School first XV is gunning for its fifth Hurricanes co-ed school title against Wanganui High School at Arena Manawatu tomorrow.

Feilding have been in the final four times and won each of them, so Feilding rugby spokesman Rick Francis was pretty keen to carry on the tradition.

"We've trained well this week and more than ready to go," he said. "We've been here before, we know what the week's all about and the importance of it."

Francis said the fact that it was the Hurricanes final would motivate the players.

"At the end of the day if we play well, we know what will happen."

Feilding played the Wanganui side in a one-off game earlier in the season and won 24-15.

Wanganui were also the beaten finalists in the Manawatu premier one schools competition, losing to Palmerston North Boys' High School's second XV two weeks ago.

"They've obviously gone very well this season and they're a team that is respected, that's for sure," Francis said.

Feilding are at full strength for the match which kicks off at 1pm at Arena Manawatu tomorrow.

Unfortunately, it is at the same time Feilding's girls' first XV is playing their Hurricanes final against New Plymouth Girls' High School.

The two games are on fields next to each other but it will be hard for the school's rugby fans to watch both games.
