Marton's Dennis Tucker-Peeti put on a show at the Adrenaline mixed martial arts fight night at the International Pacific College gym on Saturday night.

Tucker-Peeti from the Madhouse MMA gym in Marton, won on a split decision against Ethan Montgomery-Burns from the Oliver MMA Kapiti gym as the two big fighters went toe to toe and belted each other.

Theirs was one of nine MMA fights during the evening put on by Palmerston North's Scorpion Gym.

There were also two kickboxing fights, with most of the fighters not afraid to have a go.

The fights were A class, not professional matches, so competitors weren't allowed to elbow their opponents or twist necks or knees.

About 600 people packed into the gym for the night.

Competing fighters came from Kapiti, Auckland, Octagon Combat, Hawke's Bay MMA, Orphans MMA, Te Kura Awhio, Assassins Guild Whanganui, TPK Whanganui and Pacific MMA.
