Manawatu's involvement in the New Zealand bowls championships in Dunedin ended yesterday when Feona Sayles (Northern) was eliminated from the fours.
Sayles was playing No 3 for Karen Hema (Carlton Cornwall).
The side lost 16-13 to the defending champions, skipped by Paritutu's Heather Johns, in the quarterfinals.
Heavy rain brought a premature halt to post section play yesterday.
Only the morning round was able to be completed in full, with the rain sending players scurrying during the second game. Four matches were completed in the afternoon - two each in the men's and women's.
