The Otaihape Masonic Lodge has again supported students from Taihape Area School by presenting a $1000 cheque to help towards the cost for 10 students to attend a leadership course at the Tongariro Outdoor Pursuits Centre early next month.

Mr Riach said the lodge is connected with education and they have always supported Taihape students.

Mr McMillan said each of the students going on the course had to find $100 but that is now not necessary as this most welcome grant had covered it.

“Again we thank the lodge for their ongoing support.”

The leadership course covers a wide range of activities, experiences and tasks which take students out of their comfort zones.
