A 17-year-old Blenheim woman has admitted her part in the aggravated robbery of a man she beat up before stealing his wallet and car.
In Blenheim District Court yesterday Rochelle Taylor Fitzsimmons-Tasi, of Mayfield, admitted a charge of aggravated robbery and was remanded for sentence on November 13.
Judge Tony Zohrab said Fitzsimmons-Tasi and her co-accused had met the 22-year-old victim through Facebook before the robbery in July.
On the night of July 26 the man picked up the pair and took them to a restaurant where he bought them dinner, Judge Zohrab said.
At their suggestion, the victim drove the pair to Taylor Dam, but on the way they exchanged text messages agreeing to rob the man of his wallet after finding out the pin number to his eftpos card, he said.
At the dam her co-accused punched the man before Fitzsimmons-Tasi dragged him from the car and the pair punched, kneed and kicked him demanding the wallet, the judge said. After robbing the man, the pair drove away in his car, leaving him on the side of the road, he said.
