What's on in and around Marlborough.
EXHIBITIONS
Off the Page features original illustrations from New Zealand picture books and Recent Paintings by Michael Hight depicts beehives and landscapes in Marlborough. Showing at the Millennium Public Art Gallery, Blenheim, both exhibitions end on March 14.
More than 50 Marlborough Art Society members have works showing in an Autumn Exhibition at the The Yealands Estate Marlborough Art Gallery, High St.
New works by Annemieke Farmilo can be viewed at Riverlore Gallery, State Highway 6, from Tuesdays till Saturday between 12pm and 5pm. A selection of limited edition fine art prints and original oils on canvas by Joanna Dudson Scott are also showing.
Ten Out of Ten, showing works by artists Claire Beynon, Don Binney, Don Peebles, Eion Stevens, Jeff Thomson, Lindsay Missen, Melvin Day, Michael Smither, Richard Adams and Wayne Seyb, enters its final days at The Diversion, Grove Mill.
Viewing at The Stevenson Collection, Wynen St, Blenheim, is by prior arrangement for groups only during March. To see some major works by artists like Bill Hammond, Judy Millar, Peter Robinson and Alan Pearson, telephone Bernadette 021443891. Entry by gold coin donation for Hospice Marlborough.
Painter and sculptor Kim Gabara and wood and steel sculptor Bruce Fergus are the artists in residence at Lochmara Lodge Arts Centre. Works by Rick Edmonds, Rachel Olsen, Deborah Walks, Tim Mains, Chrissie Sallis and Roy Grose are also showing.
See fine art print-making by Marlborough artists Craig Bluett, Wendy Murphy and photographer Jim Tannock, along with new print and plate works by Olav Nielsen and rare early works by Kathryn Madill during their final week. The Spaces in Between exhibition at the Marlborough Vintners Hotel, 190 Rapaura Rd, is open between 10am and 5pm daily.
