Christchurch clothing company Untouched World has won an international award for the design of its merino-based cycle clothing range launched late last year from iF (International Forum Design).
The cycle collection will be on display in the winners area at the Eurobike exhibition in Friedrichshafen, Germany, the largest bike exhibition in the World, between September 1 and 4.
Chief executive Peri Drysdale said it was a fantastic result and recognition of all the hard work put into the cycle range which would carry the iF logo which was a trusted sign of proven design quality. She will travel to Germany to receive the award on September 1.
Untouched is a brand owned by Drysdale's company Snowy Peak. She does not reveal its sales figures. The company employs over 100 staff in Christchurch and close to 130 in New Zealand. It manufactures some of its clothing here, and also outsources manufacturing overseas, including to Fiji, India and "a little bit" to China.
