Everybody knoooows your name (got you humming the tune) ... at Witherlea Takeaways. Or at least the new owners will.

Because, rather than dishing out numbers to customers, they plan to take everybody's name.

It's a policy the mother-daughter team of Sharyn Hiltz and Jenn Orchard first adopted at Renwick Takeaways, before setting up Witherlea Takeaways two weeks ago.

The business has moved into the former Thommy's Takeaways in Alana St (in Witherlea).

Jenn says taking, and calling out, people's names when their order is ready is "all about customer service".

Renwick Takeaways has been bought by former Main Street Takeaways owner Henry Chen.

Jenn and Sharyn were originally going to run both Witherlea and Renwick takeaways but with Jenn's third baby due in August they decided to sell the Renwick business.

Formerly of Canada, Jenn and Kiwi-born Sharyn once owned several franchises of the fitness gym Curves, including in Blenheim and Nelson, before selling and moving into the fast food industry.
