A free small-business update seminar will be held in Blenheim on Monday.

Presented by the Inland Revenue, Work and Income and the Department of Labour, the seminar will be suitable for people involved in small businesses and the not-for-profit sector.

It will provide the latest information on KiwiSaver, business taxation and the incoming 90-day trial period and how it affects new staff.

Information on support available for staff being made redundant and how to access it will be available during the 90-minute workshop.

Representatives from the three government agencies will speak for 20 minutes each, followed by a question-and-answer session.

People will also have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with the representatives at the end of the workshop.

The updates will be held at Youell House and run at two timeslots: from 3.30pm to 5pm and from 6pm to 7.30pm. To register, email advisory.nelson@ird.govt.nz with your name, business or organisation name and phone number.
