■ Paintings, sculpture, textiles and photography are among the art works to be shown in Oil on Canvas, a Clean Energy Action community art project at the Yealands Estate Marlborough Gallery, Blenheim. The exhibition can be viewed until August 3.

■ South Island photographs taken by Jarod Udy are showing as this month's exhibition at Framers on Queen, Blenheim.

■ The Use of Radio in World War I and World War II will be outlined by John Neal at the Marlborough Museum on Sunday. His presentation starts at 2pm. Entry by donation.

■ Whakawhiti Aria: Transmission brings works from contemporary Maori artists, Israel Birch, Shane Cotton and Robert Jahnke to the Millennium Art Gallery, Blenheim. The exhibition opens on August 2 and runs until September 7.

■ Art from the Marlborough Museum collection can be viewed in the Hidden Gems exhibition in the Paul Davidson lecture room at the museum in Blenheim until July 31.

■ Christchurch artist Wayne Seyb's exhibition "The Forgotten Path - Return to Landscape", is showing at the Diversion Gallery, Picton. It opens between noon and 5pm, Wednesdays to Saturdays or by appointment.


■ South Island secondary school jazz bands will come to Blenheim for another Southern Jam. It ends on August 9 with a 7.30pm gala concert at the Marlborough Boys' College hall. Tickets $38 adults.


■ High School Musical is this year's Marlborough Combined Colleges production, opening at 7.30pm on August 5 at the Floor Pride Civic Theatre, Blenheim. The season continues with shows at the same time until August 9, when a 2pm matinee will also be held. Tickets $30/$20.
