Saturday, September 6: Cuddon Cycling Marlborough Interclub race, Nelson, 67km circuit (See Tasman Wheelers website for course map and details). Graded A, B, C, D, E. Please email your intended entry (including grade) to us at prior to 6pm Thursday. On the day sign in is from 12.45pm at the Moutere Inn.


Thursday, September 4 is a pack/training run or walk leaving from the clubrooms at 6pm. These are situated at Oliver Park on the corner of Weld and Cleghorn Sts. Reflector gear is compulsory. Joggers and walkers regardless of ability are welcome. Everyone is welcome to participate.

Saturday, September 6 is the Fairhall Road Race on Ben Morven Rd. Look for the 'Harriers' sign. The race brief will be at 1:45pm and racing for all grades will commence at 2pm. This is a handicapped event so please be there early to double-check your start time. Don't forget to bring a plate to share for afternoon tea. Please wear your club singlet if you have one. A reminder that to be eligible for trophies you must have paid a full club subscription. The supervision of children for this event is parental responsibility.

Holders of trophies awarded in 2013 are asked to return them so that they can be updated for 2014 presentations. These can be passed to Ray and Sheila, 578-4268 or returned to them at Saturday runs.

John Western Memorial Trophy: We are seeking nominations for this year's recipient. This trophy is for someone in the club that has displayed good sportsmanship during the season. It could be that you have received care from this person or you know this person has acted in a sportsmanship way to help others during the season. If you know of someone please contact a committee member.

Saturday, September 27: The children's prizegiving will be held at Bill and Julie's, 357 Hawkesbury Road, at the conclusion of the Prosser Cup races. The senior prizegiving will be held at Ferryman Restaurant, Spring Creek on the same evening. Meet for drinks from 6:30pm. Dinner will start at 7pm and will cost $30 per person for a two-course meal. If you are wanting to attend the evening festivities please advise Michelle, 577-6105. Your booking will not be confirmed until payment is made.

Registrations for the Marlborough Kids' Duathlon are now open and close on September 26. Make sure you're part of the region's largest, fun duathlon that's just for kids.

The event runs on Sunday, October 19, at Brancott Vineyard, 180 Brancott Rd, Fairhall, Blenheim. All bikes must be in transition by 9am. Entry fee: $16

The courses:

Course 1: Run or walk 1 km - bike 3 km - run or walk 1 km. Course 2: Run or walk 2 km - bike 5.5 km - run or walk 1 km.

Both courses are open to kids 6-18yrs. Choose your course according to your age and fitness level. Distances are approximate.
