Tickets to Billy Connolly's High Horse Tour in Blenheim have sold out. Almost.

The entertainer will be playing at Marlborough Lines Stadium 2000 on May 9.

As of Friday, one ticket remained of the 2500 available. But another 120 tickets would be on sale today, bringing ticket sales to 2620.

Connolly played in Blenheim in 2004 while filming his World Tour of New Zealand television show.

He announced his return to Blenheim in January, after his original venue in Nelson, the Trafalgar Centre, closed late last year because of earthquake risk.

Tickets went on sale on February 7, while early-bird tickets were available from January 29.

Prices ranged from $81.90 for general admission to $101.90 for premium seats.
