A Marlborough Barbershop Chorus in Havelock on Saturday night will add an edge to a two-day singing retreat in Havelock.

Vice-president and lead singer Johan Du Plessis says a vocal workshops weekend in the Havelock Town Hall is an annual fixture for the group and this year chorus members will donate money from the concert to Marlborough Coastguard.

Eighteen men sing in the Marlborough chorus and brought home a silver medal in the small chorus section at last year's national convention in Invercargill.

Saturday's concert starts at 7.30pm in the Havelock Town Hall. Entry by gold coin (or larger donation).
