Man stabbed during domestic incident
A Blenheim man has been stabbed in the chest.
The man, believed to be in his early 60s, was taken to Wairau Hospital in Blenheim after the attack about 8pm yesterday.
Police believe the stabbing was a domestic incident.
A police spokeswoman said the man was at his Redwoodtown home when he suffered a cut about 5 centimetres deep to his chest.
The injury was serious but not life-threatening, she said.
Police were interviewing a 46-year-old woman who lived at the house.
She was the only other person at the address, the spokeswoman said.
Police were not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident, she said.
