Winston Peters in Blenheim today
NZ First leader Winston Peters is in Blenheim today.
Peters arrived about 9.30am, and his first stop was at St Johns in Seymour St, where he met with paramedics and others. He was shown a $29,000 training mannequin which can scream and bleed.
The mannequin, funded by grants from the Canterbury Community Trust, the Pelorus Trust, and the Marlborough District Council, was formally presented to St Johns today by Canterbury Community Trust trustee Rosemary Wells.
Peters was in a good mood and was interested in the work done by the St Johns staff. However, he declined to give the mannequin mouth to mouth resuscitation.
He will speak this afternoon at a public meeting in Blenheim.
