A Blenheim dairy gutted by fire in January is to be rebuilt.
On The Spot Riversdale store in Budge St caught fire in January as a result of an electrical fault.
Foodstuffs South Island general property and retail development manager Roger Davidson said Foodstuffs had been working with its insurer and had an engineer reviewing the repair procedures.
Once the review had been finished, Foodstuffs would tender the construction process, Davidson said.
A Picton couple had owned the business for the past 15 years, and Foodstuffs had owned the building since 1975.
The fire was caused either by the fluorescent fitting or the cable supplying energy to the fitting in the ceiling space above the storage area.
The flames were confined to the storage area at the back.
