Station may get new lease of life
The Blenheim Railway Station might not be vacant for much longer, with more than one party interested in the building, which has been on the market for more than two years.
The KiwiRail-owned New Zealand Heritage Trust building has been vacant since renovation work in March 2012.
A KiwiRail spokeswoman yesterday confirmed it was still vacant, but KiwiRail was in "discussions with interested parties".
She would not comment further until the tenancy was a certainty.
"We are involved in commercial discussions and KiwiRail does not publicly comment on details of these activities until arrangements are finalised."
