Appeal thrown out Karl Joseph Paice had an appeal against a conviction rejected when he appeared at the High Court in Blenheim on Friday.
Paice was convicted of driving on the wrong side of the road on March 9 last year. He appealed, arguing there had been a miscarriage of justice when the prosecution put forward an undisclosed QVR document as evidence at the justice of the peace hearing last year.
Justice Collins said an error had been made by the JP in allowing the full document to be read out in court.
However, it was not used to prove that Paice was the driver of the motorbike, and therefore had not resulted in a miscarriage of justice, he said.
