A 60-year-old Picton woman has been arrested on several cannabis-related charges.
Sergeant Kris Payne, of Picton, said police searched the woman's home on Tuesday and allegedly found 159 grams of cannabis, which had a street value of about $2500.
Cannabis oil was found, along with loose cannabis material in bags. Police also discovered remnants of a recent "bake" to make cannabis oil, Payne said.
The woman was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis for supply, possession of a class B drug, namely cannabis oil, procuring a class B drug, and possession of cannabis utensils.
She is to appear in the Blenheim District Court today, Payne said.
In other arrests a 41-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly smashing her neighbour's windows with an axe.
Constable Andrew Holdaway, of Blenheim, said police were called to Havelock St in Renwick about 2.40pm on Thursday. The woman was arguing with a man who lived next door. She grabbed an axe and smashed three windows at the man's house. She was charged with wilful damage and possession of an offensive weapon and is to appear in Blenheim District Court today.
Meanwhile, a 13-year-old was arrested for disorderly behaviour and being found unlawfully in an enclosed yard. The teenager was arrested at 10.40pm on Thursday and was referred to the Blenheim Youth Aid section.
