The controversial blue cod fishing rules and Marlborough Sounds management will get a political airing at the Marlborough Recreational Fishers' Association annual meeting on Thursday.
It will be held at the Wesley Centre, in Blenheim from at 7pm.
Three candidates for the Kaikoura electorate, National's Stuart Smith, Labour's Janette Walker and Green Party MP Steffan Browning, will each give a five-minute presentation of their views and answer questions.
The slot rule, the transit rule and application of the rules to only recreational fishers are areas likely to be discussed.
