A Blenheim company has donated furniture to a Marlborough centre helping people with Alzheimer's disease after their outdoor table set was stolen by thieves.
Alzheimer's Marlborough administration officer Jenny Travers said she was delighted when a new table and four chairs was donated to the centre by Blenheim Mitre 10 Mega.
Mitre 10 Mega staff member Tane Karaitiana said staff saw a story in the Express and wanted to help out the Wither Rd centre by replacing the furniture that was stolen.
Travers said she couldn't believe it when she got a phone call from Mitre 10 Mega. "I was hoping someone might dob in the rascal who took it," she said. "I wasn't expecting someone to offer us a brand new replacement."
The centre, which opened in 2009, was built and furnished through fundraising and donations.
