Two men appeared in the Blenheim District Court yesterday, facing a combined 47 charges of burglary, unlawfully interfering with motor vehicles, theft and intentional damage.
The first of the brothers to be called, Lucifer Schuster, 17, faced three charges of burglary and 12 of unlawfully interfering with a motor vehicle.
He made no plea to the charges, and was granted bail to reappear in court on July 7.
Judge Anthony Walsh warned him that if he breached his bail conditions he would likely end up in custody until his next appearance.
His brother, Taia Huatahi Schuster, 21, faced 23 charges of interfering with a motor vehicle, seven of burglary, one of damage and one of theft.
He was denied bail by the judge, and was remanded in custody without plea until July 7.
