It will be a double-barrelled celebration at The Marlborough Express stand at the Classic Fighters show this weekend.

Besides celebrating things Italian, the paper is also picking up the theme of Marlborough's 150th anniversary, which we will be celebrating in November.

The Marlborough Express is publishing a special free tabloid that will include fascinating pages from The Marlborough Express of the past 140-odd years (we were there almost from the beginning) and a special report from Italy.

As part of the celebrations, the public will also be able to put themselves in the news with an on-the-spot chance to have their pictures taken and published on the front page of the tabloid.

It would be a great opportunity for people to grab a memento of the event, Marlborough Express marketing manger Ken Muir said.

Other photographs taken by Marlborough Express photographers at previous airshows will be displayed and available for purchase. To round out the exhibit, there will be a "back to the future" moment with an opportunity to get up close and personal with the latest version of Fiat's legendary Fiat Bambino, Mr Muir said.

"And, no, you won't be allowed to put it in your purse and take it home."
