No, your memory isn't failing.

The recent Historic Places Trust Register proposals advertised in The Marlborough Express were previously registered as historic places.

The trust was putting them through the process once more to close some technical loop holes.

The loopholes came to light after an audit of the register in 2004 showed some were "deficient entries" after the Historic Places Act 1980 was updated in 1994.

The places with deficient registrations are having it "fixed up", heritage registration adviser Robyn Burgess said.

The register had been straightened out now, and there would be "maybe one or two more" in Marlborough, she said.

Historic places reviewed recently are the Woodbourne Homestead and Historic Farm on New Renwick Rd; a house at 8 Poynter St, Blenheim, and the Wairau Public Hospital Nurses Home.
